What do I do if my printers waste ink pads are showing as full ?
Waste Ink Pads FAQ's -
If your waste ink counters are showing as full and you are unable to continue printing, you will need to reset the printer's waste ink counters.
To do this, start by downloading the WIC Reset Utility software. Once installed and opened, a pop up box will appear asking you to check a number of things. When this appears, select the last option ‘Close Assistant Forever’. Once this is done, go to the first section titled ‘Waste Counters’ and select to ‘Reset Waste Ink Counters’.
This will then bring up a box in which you can select to ‘Buy Key’. Click this and it will open up a new page on your web browser for you to enter in your card details to purchase a reset key.
You will be emailed the 16 digit key which you will need to enter into the pop up box on the software.
Finally, you will get a message come up to switch the printer off and back on again. After doing this the pads will reset back to reading 0% and you will be able to continue printing.
NB: We advise to only reset your waste ink counters once unless you are using an external waste ink tank.
