Why do the chips fail?
Ink Flow FAQ's -
The chips can fail because of a couple of different reasons, the main one being wear and tear on the contact of the chip from having to take the cartridge in and out of the printer. Overtime this can damage the contact on the chip leading to the printer not being able to recognise it.
A second reason that the chips can ‘fail’ or show as not being recognised is if dust, ink or water gets on to the chip or the chip receptor inside the printer which can disrupt the connection between the two and effect the chip.
If you are unable to get a chip to register in the printer even after re-inserting the cartridge and wiping down the chip and the chip receptor inside the printer, then please contact Fotopeed on 01249 714555 or email to email@example.com to get replacement chips sent out.
