Fotospeed Photographer of the Year returns to The Photography Show

Posted: 01 Mar 2018

Enter this year to win £2,000 worth of prizes

Enter in Fotospeed’s #fsprintmonday Twitter competition from 3rd March until end of February '19 for the chance to win £2,000 worth of prizes and see the winner announced at TPS

Fotospeed’s #fsprintmonday competition gives professional and amateur photographers from all over the country the opportunity to take and share the shots they’re proud of every week and see them printed on high-quality Fotospeed paper. The prizes awarded to Fotospeed Photographer of the Year give photographers the all-round experience, from top of the range printing materials, to bespoke tutoring from an award-winning photographer.

Toby Herlinger, Sales and Marketing Director at Fotospeed, said “We’re delighted to see the return of Fotospeed Photographer of the Year. We were blown away by the hundreds of entries we received last year so knew we had to bring it back. We can’t wait to showcase the winning images at The Photography Show and hopefully inspire photographers to understand the power of print.”

Why enter? Words from last year’s winner

Alan Leightley was chosen as Fotospeed Photographer of the Year 2017 with his winning image of the Milky Way over the Lake District.

Leightley, who is based in Northumberland and is a self-employed Joiner by trade, said, “Entering the competition shows that anyone with a good image has a chance to win, whether you’re a pro or a hobbyist, like myself.  As well as the fantastic prizes, seeing your image printed and framed at The Photography Show is a great feeling. I now have several types of great quality Fotospeed paper that I can use for my photography projects and I look forward to spending the day working alongside Doug Chinnery – he’s such a well-respected photographer in the industry.”
