Canon A2 printer worth £1000 (Pro-1000 or similar)
Fotospeed inkjet paper worth £500
A day of bespoke one-to-one tutoring with Doug Chinnery at his studio.
The day would include: a dawn shoot, followed by breakfast. Then colour management and lightroom work with printing on his Canon Pro-1000 with Fotospeed papers. The day would be around 8 hours of one-to-one with Doug with all the training recorded to video for you to refer back to.
We work with some amazing companies and this year we are pleased to announce that Canon have offered one of their A2 printers as part of the FPOTY prize fund. We can not thank them enough for their generosity and support.
We have been running three Canon wide format printers for the last four years and have always been blown away with not only the quality of the prints but the quality of the machines themselves.
Last year we became a Canon registered partner for their wide format printers. If you have any questions regarding Canon printers please contact one of the Fotospeed team.
We would also like to extend our thanks to Doug for his generosity and support, what an amazing and unique prize to win.
Winning #fsprintmonday photographer of the year has been an incredible experience on so many levels. Apart from being delighted that the Horses image was so incredibly well received, to be judged the best amongst a hot-bed of photography talent was very humbling. The confidence gained from winning has spurred me on to turn professional, a move which I don’t regret and am loving my new career. I can’t thank Fotospeed enough for the fabulous printer and tutoring with the eminent Doug Chinnery which has no doubt, propelled me forward in my new career. A fabulous prize and an honour to be Fotospeed Photographer of the Year. Amy Bateman 2018

18th February Results
How pretty is this beautiful winter scene with a difference! Jo Stephen has provided lovely colours and textures with the overlay making a brilliantly creative piece.
This powerful image by Paul Crudge instantly caught our eye. It is beautifully lit and we love the symmetry, this proves that sometimes less is more.
We love the beautiful pastels tones and composition of this drone image. The great timing of this shot provides a lovely feeling of serenity thanks to the patterns provided by the movement of the sea. Simplicity at its best courtesy of Neil on a Clear Day.
This image has a beautiful tonal range which provides a calming quality, it has a great composition and a stunning reflection. We love how Matt McCormicks image makes us feel.
We picked this as our winner because it kept drawing our eye back, the clever use of light adds drama and intrigue which makes us each interpret a different story.
Congratulations Paul Crudge
