We work with some amazing companies and this year we are pleased to announce that Canon have offered one of their A2 printers as part of the FPOTY prize fund. We can not thank them enough for their generosity and support.
We have been running three Canon wide format printers for the last four years and have always been blown away with not only the quality of the prints but the quality of the machines themselves.
In 2016 we became a Canon registered partner for their wide format printers. If you have any questions regarding Canon printers please contact one of the Fotospeed team.
What an amazing and unique prize to win.
Winning #fsprintmonday photographer of the year has been an incredible experience on so many levels. Apart from being delighted that the Horses image was so incredibly well received, to be judged the best amongst a hot-bed of photography talent was very humbling. The confidence gained from winning has spurred me on to turn professional, a move which I don’t regret and am loving my new career. I can’t thank Fotospeed enough for the fabulous printer and tutoring with the eminent Doug Chinnery which has no doubt, propelled me forward in my new career. A fabulous prize and an honour to be Fotospeed Photographer of the Year. Amy Bateman 2018

18th March Results
@MiradorDesigns has produced A cracking composition which is both simple and effective but powerful at the same time. A lovely monochrome image of a drummer which has been lit to perfection.
@KeithTrueman is a master of macro photography and has once again delivered with this incredibly sharp spider shot. He has a way of capturing insects human like characteristics and the shallow depth of field adds a sense of perspective.
This image by @andreah1306 says tranquillity and solace; the jetty in the foreground leads the viewer to a place that we all want to be. The softness surrounding the central point of focus works wonderfully and the subtle colour sets the scene.
The pastel colour palette and soft clouds are what drew our eye to this particular image. This long-exposure has been captured impeccably and the buildings reflect the colours beautifully; as a result @jamesewer has earned a well-deserved place in this week’s top 4.
Another strong week, and more tough decisions for our judges, but we are going to dispel the rumour that spiders are scary with this cute Wolf Spider. We were all particularly taken by this image at Fotospeed HQ and for that reason we have selected it as this weeks winner.
Congratulations Keith Trueman
